- Client
- Major artist & brand campaign work
- Role
- Choreographer / Movement Director
- Scope
- Concept, casting, rehearsal, on-set direction
The Challenge
Campaign work compresses everything. The creative team needs movement that photographs cleanly, matches a brand tone, and survives an edit that may only keep a few seconds of any take — while the dancers still need to look like real people from the culture, not models counting eights.
What I Did
- //Broke the board down shot by shot and built a movement phrase for each frame instead of one long routine.
- //Cast dancers for texture and personality first, technique second, so each body reads differently on camera.
- //Ran short, high-rep rehearsals so every dancer could hit the same mark from any angle the director chose.
- //Directed on set alongside the DP so the choreography and camera move together instead of fighting each other.
The Result
- →Delivered usable takes for every board frame inside the shoot day.
- →Movement stayed rooted in hip-hop language while meeting the brand's tone.
- →Client repeat bookings across later projects.
